You never know what's going to show up there.

Not a bad price at all. It's a pretty rare film and definitely one of my all-time favorites.

If anyone else is looking for this by chance i found it at Half Price Books for 2 dollars brand new sealed. It is the TMG #64893 release with the same cover as shown on the Info page.
(I noticed what looked like different DVD covers for this movie on Amazon.)

This of course is YMMV because Half Price Books inventory can be on a store by store basis but the one i was at had about 3 or 4 copies. I never herd of this movie before last week but the cover looked neat. It was only two dollars and the back reads a praise from IMDB user Daniel Shea.

Simply put, that's incredible! But I've gotten Kitano's Hana-Bi (!!!!!!), Maniac [1980], Sleepaway Camp, Terror at the Opera, Filth and the Fury there, all for $3 before, so it's not too unbelievable. Recently somehow got a $50 Godard box set there of 4 films -- for $5!!!

You found Maniac AND Sleepaway Camp there? Wow, and I though the one I went to was great...

reply

Sure did! And what's even better is I bought Maniac, lemme think... 9 years ago at this point. It was the first movie I ever bought with my own money. Up to that point, my collection was, like, Batman (1989) and Speed. I just randomly bought it -- it was the Anchor Bay version, on VHS. It had a different cover than the "Maniac holding a decapitated head", it was just the maniac's face (looking oh-so-Ron Jeremy-like) and the girl tied up on the bed.

Took it home, watched it, and BAM. My horror obsession started.

But yeah, the Sleepaway Camp and Opera VHS's were there right afterwards -- they also had House and a few others I didn't buy, I guess they just got a lot of Anchor Bay titles for a while.

I went there recently and they had SIX copies of Julien Donkey Boy, for $3 a piece. I bought a couple of copies for friends.

You just never know what you'll find there!
