Brilliant movie.

This film is unsurpassed for craftmanship and quality, and is a prime example of built up suspense and lingering dread to rival any of the classics of cinema.

there's a little thing in life we call humor vlad, i think it's funny to make sarcastic violent remarks about people who are "stating the obvious" and think that they are really cool trying to explain how "sucky" a movie is when we all already know this movie sucks, but, it's fun to talk like it's a really good movie. why can't we all get along?

ps- by gay you mean happy?

ive never seen this "manos hand of fate" movie you talk about, but let me just say that manos is plural (spanish for more than one hand), and hand of fate is singular. seeing the obvious mistake in the title i expect a glorious piece of cimamatic work.

Yes I agree, the movie in question (Hobgoblins) is very good. I am particually proud of the breath taking choreography used in the infamous rake fight. However, I am angry this movie was not even nominated for an Academy Award. I am writing a letter of disgust to the board.

I agree completely. Obviously director Rick Sloane is not only a master of the horror genre, but also well educated in physical performance. A fine example of this is the semi-strip scene that takes place at Club Scum. The choreography and pacing (together with the fantastic costume design and incredible music) are simply fascinating and it's refreshing to know that we do have a gifted individual out there responsible for this (and twelve other great films).

Rick Sloane; one of the more promising directors of contemporary cinema.

What I really found best about this cornerstone of modern cinema was the music. Does anyone know where I can get "Headkicker," perhaps on a CD with enhanced sound quality and a specially packaged booklet detailing the rise and fall of the Fontenells?

Sewiously. I want it for my 80's party.

reply

Yeah real good movie. I liked it how the hero was able to take his rake fighting skills to defeat a stationary hobgoblin.

Ah. Fresh victims for my ever-growing army of the undead.

reply

Yes... the rake fight scene was brilliant - I can imagine the hours they spent on its choreography.

reply

Actually, that was the 80's hit single Kiss Kicker. Though it's been released many times by the same band as Fish Picker, Pig Licker or Pig Liquor, and Pig Sticker on the rare Squish Slicker EP.

The choreography in the rake fight is beyond imagine, I mean and the gun fight with the snake? This movie should be number one on the IMDB list. I am gonna watch it again right now and cry when the girl is lost.

Good Call..and Rick Sloan loves sarcasm as well..good for you.
