Sequel

I just watched this in my spanish class and my teacher told me that there was a sequel. I can't find the name of it anywhere. Does anyone know what its called or what its about?

reply

There's no sequel. There are similar movies with similar topics about argentinian dictatorship and its consequences, but no sequel.

everybody dies alone

reply

There are no sequels and there is not a single reason to do one.

More movies can be done about this subject (In fact several have been shot after "La historia oficial"). But there is no reason to make fun out of the thousands of people who have lost a relative during the right-wing dictatorship in Argentina. Only people without moral scruples and moronical trolls could do it.

there are many movies that deal with the desaparecidos issue, but i haven,t heard of ant sequel...
this movie was the best said at that time (think military junta left that same year and much of the people were awakening, like the main character)this story never ended ,and every year ,mothers and grandmothers of dissapeared keep finding more children (grown up ones,of course)so the issue appears all the time in many movies and documentals.

While I wouldn't call it a sequel, "Cautiva"can almost be taken as an extension of the story with Gaby turned into a 16 year old finding out about her past- I'd highly reccomend seeing it!
