I can't be the only one?

Who actually likes this movie? I know it's not great by any technical standards, but in the same way that I love many cheezy 80's slashers, I think it's kinda fun! There are some nasty kills, and some creepy scenes, plus any movie with dog flashbacks rules!!

I watched it last night, and thought it was great. Not as bloody as I'd have liked (that said, the throat-slashing scene was a bit of a shock). There was a creepy atmosphere about the whole thing.
Maybe I wasn't paying full attention to the first half (it was a bit slow), but I only realised Cass was blind halfway through. I didn't notice any earlier signs, though.
It's made me think twice about heading for the hills...

I was actually just about to start a thread hoping to find out if anyone else but me liked it too! Infact, despite its extremely bad reviews that I've read mostly everywhere- I love this film to bits. There isn't really one thing I don't like about it except that there should've been an uncut version with maybe 3 or 4 more teenagers and more gore- that being said- my favourite death was the throat cut to Sue, which surprisingly was more gory than I imagined it to be! and I also didnt even realise Cass was blind until half way into the movie hahahha :) but yeh I really like it too!

Nope. You're not the only one. I pretty much thought it was great. I find it sad how it seems some people think this movie is nothing but flashbacks when there's only a few. They MUST have stopped watching when Beast had flashbacks. Anyway, it's a great movie. Chalk another one up for awesome 80s slasher films. :)

It's very cheesy, and there are some cringe worthy scenes, but it's a lot of fun to watch. I like that Michael Berryman, Janus Blythe, and Robert Houston all came back.

And it was kind of interesting that they had Bobby do something smart and stay behind. I feel if anyone but Craven had written the film, Bobby would have gone against his instincts and went on the trip only to be killed off.

Also, the final twenty minutes with blind Cass wandering through the mine and then being chased by Reaper were pretty suspenseful.

I enjoy this movie a lot. I liked seeing Janus Blythe, Robert Houston, and Michael Berryman again. I really liked their characters so it was good to see what happened to them after the first movie. I also thought Kevin Blair did a great job. His performance was amazing. It felt more like a sequel to Friday the 13th than a sequel to The Hills Have Eyes at some moments, but I like the Friday the 13th movies so I didn't mind that at all.

The recap from the first makes it completely uninteresting and boring. I prefer a 55 minute movie.

I like it a lot. I may be strange, but the original is not all that great to me so these two rank about the same to me. Only thing I don't like is Beast has a flashback.
The flashbacks though don't bother me because lots of worse movies did it much worse in the 80s (Boogeyman 2, SNDN 2)

I don't even think it used that many flashbacks. Something like Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 on the other hand has way too many flashbacks. Literally the first half of that movie is flashbacks with the second half being new material and it seems all rush. This movie had nothing in the flashback department compared to that film.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.
