THE FREAKING DOG HAD A FLASHBACK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! LOL

Apparently producer Peter Locke enjoys that scene.

Yes. As if the movie wasn't already flashback-heavy enough. Plus, why was that guy from the first movie even in this one? All he did was talk to a shrink and have flashbacks and then he went away and I never saw him again.

Beats me. Maybe Wes needed someone from the original to be living with Ruby, because Ruby is a main character. And I guess another familiar face.

Absolutely hilarious!!! I'm so glad someone else has commented on this!

Zoltan had flashbacks.

Yeah, I think the Bobby/Rob thing was to provide a definite connection between the two movies, needed or not.
As for the dog flashback, I have read far too many times already on this board about it. I don't understand. Are dogs supposed to not have memories? Like a goldfish or something? Or does it offend people do be associated with a dog's thought process? I personally thought it was pretty freakin' awesome myself.
What's better than a badass animal companion with a confirmed kill? How about one that can realize he didn't actually complete the job, so he knew enough to go back and get 'er done! Hell yeah.

Even though I just watched this movie and hated compared to the first one (which I watched again before watching Part II) (streaming on Screambox for the first one/EPIX for Part II) the dog having memories has to be true since we hear about dogs remembering their dead owners by either dying from depression of loss and/or finding the gravesite and never wanting to leave. So the dog brain must have the capacity for some memories and or emotions. In my opinion dogs are just similar to humans where some are smarter and more developed than others. A lot of it is based on breed. The German Shepard are smart dogs and make good service dogs either the military or for disabled people. It's all about how they are trained.

I thought the dog flashback was very logical: They had to pad this crummy movie out with a bunch of flashbacks and when they ran out of human characters they were forced to use the dog. You do whatever you have to when you have a screenplay this feeble.

Not as awesome as the first-person passing out scene from the blind guy in the first Fantastic Four film. That was memorable.
