reply

Yeah, not that it was a bad "rip off" I really think it was fitting, but I did keep forgetting they weren't in Crystal Lake

So did i to be honest!

reply

Yep! I kept getting Friday the 13th vibes from the music.

It does seem familiar, but the score that plays during the credits is actually really great.

Definite similarities. I kept thinking I was gonna see an ogre in a hockey mask step in and show these sand-billies how to get it done...

not ripped off, unless you can rip yourself off. He probably just didnt want to try. dont blame him.

Harry Manfredini did both the music for this and Friday The 13th.

To be honest, the similarity in music was too distracting for me to get drawn into the music - it was basically 90% identical.

I guess it shows that Manfredini isn't that talented.

reply

It not that he is not talented, he just too lazy to do something different, but then again I rather have some music bands stay the same sound than experiment like Linkin Park did. Started off awesome, then changed to crap, and slightly getting back to where they were at the beginning. That was just for example.

Plus, the sequel to the remake was better than this movie. I can't believe how bad this is.

I am a gore watching freak!!!

If it don't have it, it isn't worth the watch.

It was so distracting.

He used his Friday The 13th music before Friday the 13th. Check out The Children from 1980. All kinds of Friday music in that movie. I remember reading somewhere that he was making the music for Friday The 13th and decided to try some of it out in The Children first, not thinking the movie would ever come out, or get a wide release or something of that nature. The movie is easy to find. As if that wasn't enough, check out Slaughter High from 1985 where all the music is kinda like Friday The 13th Part 5, as well as Hills Have Eyes 2. He created some great music but why spread it so thin?
