The monsters

It kinda sucks when most of the monsters are just guys in costumes, or just weird squiggly laser lines, and what is that blue fire demon called? All I heard was an At-something. Someone pls tell me

I think it was called Anteaus or something like that.

I know, right?! The stop-motion special effects of the first one were way better.

The animated creatures that were in this film does pale in comparison to the stop-motion robotic creatures from the first film.

Too much rotoscoping during the final battle between Minos and Hercules, which does include part of the battle between the two from the first film, which leaves one annoyed afterwards. The shapeless light creatures that Hercules faces comes a close second, and let's not forget Anteaus, the fire creature. Let's just call it what it most obviously resembles: The ID monster.

I know that CANNON had recently broken ties with MGM as it's distributor and probably budgets were slashed due to this, but it really shows that Hercules 2 was a low budget affair when compared to Hercules, and it really showed on screen.

How did I find out I didn't pass my piss test?
When they said "Urine big trouble".

The fire monster was named Anteaus. In the myth, Antaeus was a giant that Hercules fought and defeated. In the movie, he's a fire monster. I think some of his animations may have been rotoscoped from Forbidden Planet.
