Bad Ending

From the personal quotes section on Fiorentino's bio page:

"The thing that's always bothered me is that, even if you have a strong female character, invariably in the third act she has to say something like, 'I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you,' or she has to become really vulnerable and wimpy and get her comeuppance."

This totally happened in Gotcha! It's hard to believe she'd even have a soft spot for the kid given her profession let alone that she'd fall for him being six years younger, less educated, many times more unworldy and naive.

Beauty, brains and a complete psychopath. My dream girl.

Wasn't that the whole point, in a way? Gotcha's a teenage guy's dream come true, it's a sarcastic send-up of the whole spy sub-genre; it's satire played straight. So sure it's contrived and sure it's hard to believe; the point is that it happens because "Moore, Jonathan Moore" wants it to happen.

I agree with golden hawk %100. 'Gotcha!' is a teenage boy's fantasy come true. Why go that far and then not give us the ending we want? Not that kind of ending! Sinners.

’Cause there’s thunder in your heart... Every move is like lighning!
