I think this movie was a classic and my favorite line from the movie is when they're in Manolo's (Johnathan's best friend) hood and the federal agents flash their badges and Manolo replies by saying, "Don't show me your badges! We don't know nothin' about no stinking badges!"
shareJ: "What's in the strudel?"
S: "Apples, raisins, nuts....strudel!"
"Man-O-War started rattlin' yesterday and threw a kid on its head".
A couple more lines we use all the time around here:
1. "It's cheaper, faster and much, much safer".
2. "You cannot pay, you cannot stay".
3. "So, you vait for girlfriend...I alzo vait".
4. "She wasn't Swedish, she was Swiss".
5. "Would you look at me please".
"Man-O-War started rattlin' yesterday and threw a kid on its head".
Latin Homeboys to outnumbered white CIA agents: "Remember the Alamo?"
Jonathan to his father after being bailed out of jail for side-swiping a car: "I thought he was a KGB from Russia!"
Father" "No - he's a CPA from Encino!"
Beauty, brains and a complete psycopath. My dream girl.
3. "So, you vait for girlfriend...I alzo vait".
I always forget that exchange, but it was really awesome! "You have great interest in butcher shop?"
1. "It's cheaper, faster and much, much safer".
Lol, yeah. And then the accelerated driving scene that follows.
LMAO. Have you noticed that near the end of the scene when the taxi driver dude drives his taxi into the alley, the scene is still accelerated and some pedestrians are walking real fast? Lol. Brilliant scene. "Cheapeur, fasteur and much, much safeur."
shareYeah yeah I totally noticed that! Manolo and Jonathan are fast too as they get out the taxi!
share"Isn't there a terrorist named Carlos?"
"Sshhhh!!"
You're right. I'm on drugs. I'm a junkie. I mainline, I freebase, I put cocaine on my Corn Flakes.
As a matter of fact, I gotta go meet my connection.
Speaking of meeting, I liked the dialogue when Jonathan takes Sasha to his hotel room, only to find Manolo is there, not expecting him (thinking he was with a girl he had picked up by telling her he was Carlos the international terrorist). The dialogue I'm referring to happens when Manolo leaves the room and meets Sasha:
Manolo: "You must be Sasha".
Sasha: "You must be Manolo".
Jonathan (to Manolo): "You must be going".
