It also continues to be uncanny how the cast's real-life personalities mirror their characters so closely. Brolin is more "above it all," Kerri is shy and nervous, Corey and Martha are loudmouth wisecrackers, Jeff is the silliest one and Sean is the most earnest and even-tempered one. I'd say only Ke doesn't match up, because he is much quieter than Data was.

Another big benefit for a sequel is that most of them are still very recognizable compared to their younger selves. Big exception is Chunk, but his weight loss could be utilized as a plot point in the movie. Sean really needs to go on a diet before he would start shooting.
