two hours of people screaming and yelling

Tried to rewatch it after all these years, and just found it annoying.

Watched yesterday and I still love it.

Watching it at this very moment and love it.

Watched it today and really liked it.

(Stranger Things brought me here 😊)

I agree, I loved this movie when I was a kid and I just recently watched it again and I still love it.

I came here to see if anyone else felt this way too! I'm 31 and just watching it for the first time. It's nothing but 4 or 5 kids screaming over each other throughout the whole movie. I can hardly understand what anyone is saying.

I used to get turned on by Kerri Green screaming when I was a kid. Especially the scene with the bats.:)

I don't want to alarm you but I think your soul may have died.

"Deserves got nothing to do with it."

I love it as much today as the day I first saw it.

I agree its a piece of a crap movie. The reason for all the screaming is because the whole cast are a bunch of wimps and cry babies. Its a crazy movie, with lots going on, but none of it is great. The movie is a mixture of the first two Indiana Jones movies at the time, but watching it makes Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom a pretty damn good movie. There are so many unnecessary scenes and characters in the film. One such character is Sloth. Have no idea why he is in the film. The climax of the film is rather poor too. I was hoping for some swashbuckling sword fighting in the end, but no such thing. Instead we get a preview of screen writer Chris Columbus major hit of Home Alone. Clumsy bad guys getting knocked around, that isn't the least bit funny. I would think that Columbus had been outlining his ideas for Home Alone as he was writing this film. In all, its a pathetic film. I like the 1980s music and feel throughout the film, but noting else. Watch an old swashbuckler such as Captain Blood any day, before watching The Goonies. Even Sloth was enjoying himself watching Captain Blood.

You really had no childhood what so ever, did you?

It's a kids movie, it's made in the 1980's so it's made with a different set of rules compared to now. If you watch The Maltese Falcon with the way movies are made nowadays, it's also pretty boring.
