Exactly. I'm 31 and just now watching it for the first time and I can hardly understand what anyone is saying. Having 4 or 5 kids doing nothing but screaming at the same time is just not doing it for me.

My mom first saw this movie as a 40-something when she took me to see it. She found the movie very enjoyable and still claims it is as the best non-animated kids movie ever.

Chasing, fighting, and screaming, followed by chasing, fighting, and screaming, followed by chasing, fighting, and screaming, for two hours. It's not just tiresome, it's exhausting.

I've tried watching this movie several times and just can't get into it. My mom told me even when I was little I didn't like it. I don't think The Goonies is necessarily a "bad" movie, but the constant yelling is very annoying and I think the script lacked a lot of direction. The only good thing about it was Sean Astin.
