Very beautiful, though it took me a great few watchings to grasp fully.
shareI saw this on TV almost a decade ago, and it's haunted me ever since. The story is perfectly served by the mood. Dream-like, sad and beautiful.
shareI think what drew me most was the fact that almost every scene could be turned into a painting. The characters and plot were amazing as well. But... yeah.

I couldn't decide if I liked it or not at first, but I realized that am I in love with this movie when I realized that I could not look away. For me, it's one of those movies that you appreciate more and more every time you see it. I can see why most people would hate this movie though. It takes a long time to go nowhere. I'll take a slow-paced movie that tells an amazing story over an action packed, decent at best movie any day.
