Thanks to subbedfilms, who has uploaded many other animation gems, I watched this film on YouTube and it quickly became one of my favorites. Now if we can just get more people to see it and appreciate it...

Yep; I've been a fan of subbedfilms for a while now, but I put off watching this movie until today. I think it may be one of the capital-g Great anime films. It's certainly Great in a different way than, say, Grave of the Fireflies or Millennium Actress, but I love them all.
