Where did you first see this movie?

I first saw "Ghoulies" on video when I was about 15 (circa 1986)... at an all night church youth group retreat, of all places. The chaperones had rented a stack of movies for the kids to watch and this happened to be one of 'em. I guess they just assumed that it was a cutesy "Gremlins" style action comedy judging from the cover. I remember sitting there thinking it was an extremely inappropriate choice for a church retreat, what with all the black magic nonsense. Haha. I thought the movie was terrible but I dug it just for that. I can only assume that none of said chaperones were in the room with us while that movie was playing, otherwise one of'em probably would've ripped the tape out of the VCR, set it on fire, and spent the rest of the night praying for all of our souls.

Can't remember which year. I think in the 1990's. I remember seeing the VHS cover at Moive Magic, and it always made me curious, and creeped out. Then I think the first time I saw it was on SPACE, but I think I missed half of it the first time. It and 2 aired a few times after that, I taped it. But then years later I got the double feature DVD.
