Haha...i just saw this was on the bottom 100 movies on imdb...i've never seen it before...but when i was really little i used love wandering into the horror section of the movie store and look at all the movie covers...this one used to creep me out and i would have to use the toilet looking down in the water for a few days...granted i was about 4 or 5

ghoulies had a three second scene where a Ghoulie came out of the toilet.
shareGhoulies 2 also has one scene where a guy gets bitten when he uses the toilet. It's also worth noting that for the poster of Ghoulies 2 the tag line 'They'll get you in the end' the 'you' is crossed out by a Ghoulie and replaced with 'yours', again playing up the whole toilet aspect, even though the films have nothing to do with toilets, which when you think about it would have been a really good idea.
shareI agree. I wonder why they decided to use that scene as the main image for the first movie? Before I seen the actual movie, I thought it was about creatures that kill people by moving through pipes and coming out of drains and toilets. The actual scene in the first movie is just pointless, as the ghoulie comes out of the toilet for NO REASON at all, and does NOTHING related to that. It would be to the extent of having a ghoulie pop out of the microwave, then nothing following that in relation(no kitchen scene where the ghoulie kills someone, or gets killed).

Dude, are you me?! I had the same experience almost exactly! Loved looking at horror covers, this one freaked me out, never used a bathroom with the lights off and always had to be able to see down into the toilet!
