If not William Ragsdale, I could picture a young Kyle MacLachlan for the role of Charley in the original Fright Night. Anybody else?

Emilio Estevez? If he played it similarly to how he acted in Repo Man, that could have been really funny. Or, in a totally different way, maybe C. Thomas Howell.

C. Thomas Howell, yes. I also thought about Patrick Dempsey. I have not seen Repo Man in a long time, but I caught a glimpse of Emilio Estevez in it. What a coincidence that you mentioned Estevez for the role of Charley, because his brother Charlie auditioned for that particular role.

I also picture Patrick Dempsey or Andrew McCarthy.

I wish Ragsdale would have dialed it down.

Roddy McDowell and Stephen Geoffreys are over the top, but it works perfectly.

With William Ragsdale, it got in the way a little bit.

Michael J. Fox or Matthew Broderick would have been awesome.
