The Adam Green and Joe Lynch commentary was disappointing

Its a shame to cause i loved their commentary for part 4, it was freaking great. So naturally i thought for this its sure to be fantastic, but it was rather dull.

One of my main issues is most of the time they aren't' even commenting on the movie or whats happening, but more so talking about what kind of camera was used for this scene, or what kind of technique was used, and then going off into stories about their own shit, completely ignoring whats happening in the movie.

They completely ignore and talk over Ethel's iconic introduction, i was waiting for them to laugh at that and joke about it, and they just talked over it and didn't even acknowledge it. Infact they talk over all of Ethel and Junior's scenes, during all their scenes they're just going on about something that has nothing to do with the whats going on in the scene.

And Adam Green spends like i swear 50% of the commentary talking about and plugging his Tommy Jarvis tapes he made for the F13th game. They just spend so much time ignoring whats going on in the movie and talking about shit thats not even about the movie. Which wasn't the case for their F13th part 4 commentary, in that they was laughing and making fun of shit and talking about everything that was happening.

I just feel like they wasn't as invested in this as they was for part 4.

The director's commentary on this movie is great, though.

Yeah thats what i've heard, i plan on listening to that one next.

I agree with this- I was pleasantly surprised how funny and good-natured Danny Steinman was about the film!

I wish it was more like part 4 commentary when they acted like fanboys through the whole thing.

Yeah thats exactly the issue, they wasn't commentating as fanboys for this one like they was for Final Chapter, in this one they're commentating more as filmmakers. Which is a shame cause this movie is perfect for people to watch and laugh at and have a good time with.

Their commentary would've been gold if they'd just watched the fucking movie and made fun of shit and just watched it as fans.
