Fun sleazy masterpiece

I grew up on the Friday films especially the first 6, and although I think the first four are the best made in the series, I find myself watching this fifth one the most the humor is what keeps me a repeated viewer

my favorite was the Final Chapter. This one, while it has it's moments isn't my favorite in the series

the director had done both porn and a "women in prison" exploitation film before this gig and it shows.

A New Beginning is noted for having more profanity, more nudity, sleazy atmosphere and a lot of the death scenes were censored by the ratings board

My favorite was part 3 because hockey is my favorite sport and this was the first sports horror movie ever made

Yes, other than the original this is my favorite Friday the 13th film. It is entertaining and very funny. Like Halloween III: Season of the Witch is underrated just because it doesn't have Michael Myers, I think this one only receives hatred just because Jason isn't the killer.

As sleazy as the movie is, it actually looks more polished technically than the first four.

exactly one of the top 6 films in this series is part 5. i've always loved it. it seems like a lot of people on here love it and know it's one of the 6 best in this series which is great and unexpected. now if we can just get all the people who wrongly hate it and wrongly think it's a bad movie to love it and appreciate it.

The sleazy atmosphere, outrageous profanity, raunchy humor, and the excessive gratuitous female nudity all make this one a total trashy treat.

It's a sleazy movie, but it's got nothing on the 2009 remake in that regard:

-A girl oils up her breasts

-The Donnie character

-Topless wakeboarding

-A sexy dance scene with shameless camera angles

-A completely naked girl rides a guy for seemingly an eternity - plus a ton of comments about how great her breasts and nipples look

Nudity does not = sleaziness; there's nothing sleazy about the remake. This is by far the sleaziest entry in the series or most other series, even moreso after listening to the cast and crew commentary about the director.

I love this movie. One of the best slasher films ever made.

The director of this also made Savage Streets (1984). He was a master of 'sleaze'. A shame he didn't make many films.
