Should it get remade or not?

I kinda feel like this is one of those movies that does deserve a remake.

I know people who weren't pleased with the remakes of Verhoven's other movies like Robocop and Total Recall might disagree, but I feel that if they did this movie with the same sort of style that was used in Ridley Scott's Robin Hood it'd work well for a modern audience.

If done right, I'd be on board for a remake.

 Or maybe a TV series? Or Mini-series?

The problem with almost all the remakes we've seen so far is that idiots have been in control, because the reason for a "remake" is to make something better, and these idiots are trying to "remake" near perfect films.

The reason to "remake" a film is to make a "bad" film better. Now, this is "strict remake" I speak of. One can still remake the theme of a film and come up with some good quality as in LAST OF THE COMMANCHES, TRESPASS, and others.

That's why War of the Worlds, DOA, Flight of the Phoenix, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and others have totally sucked. They tried to improve upon near perfection.

FLESH+BLOOD is obviously too close to near perfection to remake. If it's remade, the same mentality of retarded, uninspired "mechanics" are going to make another disaster.

No. It shouldn't be remade. Perhaps a sequel, if one wants. But a remake would be retarded. You aren't going to make it better, so whatever changes you make will wind up making it look ridiculous.

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

Although remakes tend to end up disappointing compared to the original, I am always for them as it gives us something more to talk about and it's exciting to see how another director and crew do it, even if it ends up being crap.

However, in the case of Flesh+Blood they will have very big shoes to fill because it was a pretty confronting film in terms of violence, nudity and death back in 1985. They'd really have to raise the shock value to make it worthwhile and trying to repeat the impact of the first.

Only as a PG13;-D

No because *beep* remakes!

Jamie Lee Curtis survived Halloween, the Fog, Prom Night and a Terror Train & now she can't poop!
