Jeebus...here's a movie that needs a remake/update

I caught this on cable recently; this movie has not aged well. At all. I think the premise is still good enough to warrant a remake/update, though. Maybe they could still hire a terrible actress for the part of Bryan Brown's assistant...just for fun. She's what I'll remember most about this movie anyway. God, how was that allowed to happen?

Well, besides her acting, it was a good movie. IMO it's aged pretty well, but any movie that's almost 30 years down the road generally isn't going to look quite up to date.

A remake? Of a movie whose whole hook is practical effects and in a climate with a throbbing boner for CGI?
