that the prequels didnt have

the weapons and ships and such had the "Sci Fi meets WWII" look that the 77 star wars had, but the prequels didnt

Except the laser blasts didn't sound right.

I agree, it feels more like STAR WARS than the prequels!

Agreed. The Ewok Adventure and The Star Wars Holiday Special as well.

The laser blasts sound different because it's slightly different technology.
