when Noa puts the battery in, says "let's power up this old tin can" - then he spits on his hands, flips a switch, nothing happens.. then he says what sounds like "F--k" (at the 1:15:46 mark)

I haven't tried looking for a script or anything to see the actual line, but replaying it over & over it sounds like the F-word, and I can't think of anything else that would make sense there, unless he made a sound like "Ugh"

I agree it sounds like the F word. Found this in a script and I think my old Dutch VHS copy matched these subtitles:
