Best Argentinean movie of all times

Could be this, the best of all times?
Is this the one that is describing the Argentinean culture at its best?
There are of course other very good Argentinean movies, and more to come, but I always will think that this black-humor film is the summary of the AR reality.

It could be. The characters are very representative of the people of buenos aires city in the 80´s. The cast is brilliant.

mmmmmmm..... I don't know. It reflects Argentinian society of the 80's (that still exists now a day). But there's another exellent movie that also reflects Argentina era circa 1920. It's La Pataginia Rebelde ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071976/ ). For me this is the best of all times but note that this is a drama and "Esperando..." is a comedy.

As an Argentinian, I do not quite think this is the best. Yes, it's a great film. It's very funny, and there actually are people like that. But it's not IMO the best one. Of course, everyone has their tastes, but for me, the single best Argentinian film ever is "Un lugar en el mundo". But of course, that's me...

definitely... the best___=)

China Zorrilla and Luis Brandoni are sensational ___

I don´t know. The movie is all right for belly laughs, but really..., it couldn´t be coarser, not really! Come on, it hits you under the belt all the time and the acting is second rate theatre from the provinces. If you consider this movie "The best of all times" (you or some other contributor) you haven´t seen too many movies.

Some of the greatest Argentinian movies, in my opinion, are:
- El Aura
- Nueve Reinas
- La Historia Oficial
- El Hijo de la Novia

Watch these; you won't get disappointed. ;)

I didn't like it. It wasn't funny IMO. I could see if it's a confirming love to argentinian culture (does this movie really define this?), but I can't understand what's so funny or good about these excentric persoanlities. They are all very confused and talk a lot of nonsense, and live in their own worlds. What's so funny about it? I think it's highly overrated; 8 is just too much for this film. Let's pretend I liked the humor, the movie still wouldn't have more substance than a 5 or at max. 6 out of 10.

It'sone of the bests, and if you enjoyed this you may like La Nona.

El secreto de sus ojos, the best argentinean movie of all time, no doubts.

The new movie from Juan Jose Campanella, just brilliant.

I Loved "Burnt Money" (Plata Quemada) I'm also devoted to "Apartment Zero" a British movie by an Argentinean director set in Buenos Aires.
