Some descriptions of this movie say Paul and his girlfriend were zapped into a computer-generated reality... assuming this wans't meant to refer to all the special effects and stop-motion animation, could it be that there was no Dungeonmaster? That Paul's computer noticed the dysfunction between them, so "she" pulled a TRON number, and sent them into a series of false dangers to make them closer together and get over their problems?

When the computer was attached to Paul's arm, one of the first things that
it told Paul was Mestema was another name for Satan. I think Mestema was
a very bored Devil trying to have some fun at Paul and his girlfriend's
expense
neo-black magic through machines and the devil is pissed! lol
