I'm ashamed of you

I know there are fans out there for this movie. This was splattered over the cable guide in the late 80's, showing at least 2 or 3 times a day, every day. A staple of any 80's horror/scifi/fantasy aficianado, I can believe there aren't more than 10 posts(legitimate ones, not that Shatner crap) about this.

Maybe people are thrown off by the name change, but plenty of films have multiple names. This may not be a great movie, but it is lots of fun. It's too bad it doesn't get the credit it deserves.

the story, it's mythology, and the special effects were very impressive. charles band comes up with the darkest stuff. his stories remind me of something lovecraft

Agree completely OP.

I was lucky enough to watch this as a kid, and then later watch Star Wars... and Star Wars is nothing compared to this. How can a man in black plastic scare you compared to a giant rock monster or Spitrat.

And to see 2.0 out of 10. lol. I'm guessing the name changes did have an effect because this is the definition of a cult classic.

I was not born at the time of its release, but I do own it now on VHS. I bought it mainly because I'm a fan of Charles Band's earlier work. I like the movie, and have never been upset by the title. I could care less about DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS honestly.

There was an anthology film made titled PULSE POUNDERS. It included footage shot for a "DUNGEONMASTER II: A SORCERER'S NIGHTMARE", but it has yet to be released. Another segment, "THE EVIL CLERGYMAN" will be released later this year, and it stars the cast of THE RE-ANIMATOR. Fingers crossed for the other two segments, including a "TRANCERS II" with Tim Thomerson and Helen Hunt.

Agreed. This film was quite enjoyable. I really dug the energy and imagination evident with all of the different challenges.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!
