It's something I dream about.

There was a different version of this film?

The "It's something I dream about" doesn't tip you off to the fact that this is not a real BluRay Director's Cut, but merely a fantasy I have hopes of one day attaining? Thought that was pretty clear to even the most casual observer. I apologize for not taking the time and effort to explain it better. In time, I hope you can learn to forgive me.

I forgive you, my son, because I know that your love for the master is pure.

And I, in turn, love you as my own kin.

Ugh. I know it was just a fantasy of yours, but when you mentioned a Director's Cut, I started wondering if there was an unreleased version of the film containing Additional or Alternate Footage.

But I assume now by Director's Cut, you just meant the original film itself.

I find it incredible that this film is not on DVD. Even some cheap "Walmart 5 dollar bin" copy where it is one of 4 old cheesy movies on the DVD (you know how they do those combo paks?)

I could see this on a combo DVD with Puppetmaster, Crawlspace, and such. Classic Band Horror at it's finest.

That's not going to happen though due to (partial) rights issues, but what is going to happen this October is that this movie will be released through a 4-Movie Pack released by Shout! Factory under license from MGM. The 4-pack will also contain Cellar Dweller, Catacombs, and Contamination .7, which also make their DVD debut through said 4-pack.

Excellent notice DukeNukem!!

And the DVD version has an extended opening sequence. So that's the closest to a Director's Cut I suppose.
