Deep Fritz,

This film, as you know, has been long out of print. I just requested it through inter-library loan the other day. Apparently, only 3 libraries worldwide own Detective School dropouts! Hopefully, one of them will send it to Houston. If I get it, I can check it out for 1-2 weeks. But, I cain't keep it.

Since you are looking to buy it, you may have to settle for a used / previously viewed VHS tape. But even then, there is no guarantee that you can get it. Still, it is worth a try.

I suggest that you log onto an online DVD / Video retail store called 'Videoflicks' that operates out of Canada @ http://www.videoflicks.com/titles/1005/1005740.htm?SHOW=1&TYPE=0&ASSN=V00001&ESID=XUUEUTXXACERXXTAAVUUUU

The website states: "Videoflicks.com has a special department for finding discontinued movies for our customers; they are usually previously viewed copies, 100% guaranteed. If you would like to be placed on our search list, please send us your email address"

Good luck in your search for this utterly hilarious film!

I just bought an ex-rental for $3.33.

You're getting a raise out of me alright, but it has nothing to do with money!

I also lucked out in getting a practically virginal, barely-played ex-rental from a dying video store for $3.00. Jokes on them! This is one of the funniest comedies of the 80's, right up there with AIRPLANE! and NAKED GUN. The only problem is that as a MGM/UA/CANNON release in the big silver box, it's ruthlessly copyprotected so I can't get it onto DVD unless I darken the picture (but then it looks crappy). :(
