Tons of people in this one

My sister was in love with this back in the 80s like probably every other 10-15 year old girl. I wouldn't watch it if you paid me, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Lots of people in this one who go onto both bigger careers and more memorable roles; like John Toturro and Anna Thompson (Levine). Very 80s-ish (wow, Pare's ex-girlfriend's outfit was like a time machine!), corny story line, and definitely not made to appeal to men. I'd give it a 5/10 if I didn't grow up in the 80s. I gave it another star for the nostalgia trip and seeing all those actors when they were much younger.

the only one i really recognized, not that i was really watching it, was richard edson, sonic youth's original drummer. he was a postman or something near the beginning of the film. here's their cover of "into the groove"

I just re-watched it again for the first time in years and one actor in a bit part that really jumped out at me was Giancario Esposito aka meth kingpin Gus Fring from Breaking Bad. (he plays a street vendor that tries to sell Roberta sunglasses and a hat).
