Susan and Gary should have at least made out

At Gary's place, with Susan clearly wanting to take advantage of his money and the surprising chemistry they had when they were smoking pot. It would be greatif they made out, and Susan turned the tables on him, as she sure wouldn't be the faithful one.

If she made out with him and maybe even ended up with him. I would have like the ending. SPOILER

Roberta could have ended up with Dex and Susan with Gary. Gary got screwed. Robert didn't even want to work it out. I'm sorry but if your bored you don't leave your husband and/or wife. You talked it through and work on it. Then if all else fails then comes that. It was like Gary's character was used as a launching point for Roberta's story. At the end he wants to take her home and she leaves him for someone else she met when she didn't even know who she was herself. They should have at had Roberta maybe working a dead end job and bored with going no where. Then instead of a husband who loved her but lost her because she was bored, it could have maybe been family looking for her.

Sorry just saw this movie and the ending pisses me off!!!

What was there to talk through? He was having an affair, he treated her like crap. All he wanted her for was to cook his meals and run his errands for him. He could have hired a secretary for that. He certainly didn't need a wife. She was better off without the jerk.

I loved the ending. She was way better off with Dez.

As for Susan and Gary making out? ICK! Like I said already, he was a jerk and in her world, a drip. There is no way that either sober, drunk, or stoned, was she EVER going to give it up to him! And with her looks and attitude, she wouldn't have to. She'd be able to get him to give her anything she wanted without having to sleep with him.

Excellent post. I agree 100%.

Why should Roberta have tried to work it out?? Gary didn't love her, maybe he never did. He treated her horribly. Roberta wasn't merely bored, she was lonely & mistreated emotionally.

I will say that if I was Roberta, I would have at least called Gary (once she regained her memory) and told him she was OK. I thought that was kind of cold not to do that.
But that is all. Not every marriage should be worked out. Some should absolutely divorce.

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

Don't you remember, she tried to call him from the police station, and Susan answered, all stoned, and she and Gary were giggling into the phone, with him saying "Spa King!" So yeah, she did try to call him.
