Was Kersey carrying dynamite and/or gasoline in his car?

(SPOILER . . . like it matters) When the punks send the care, with Kathryn inside, into another car, both cars blow up like the Death Star. Maybe the car she crashed into was also carrying dynamite and/or gasoline?

What you've just mentioned isn't just a beloved trope of the Death Wish series but of Canon films in general. Cars might as well be made of tissue paper drenched in kerosine wrapped around a grenade.

What? You don't think a '77 Cadillac Seville slowly crawling down a hill in neutral WOULN'T instantly explode upon so much as touching a 1974 Dodge Monaco (also not only exploding, but SPLITTING THE MONACO IN HALF)?!
