is there a scene in the film where daryl is in a wooden casket possibly having a funeral out in the woods?

No, but Daryl does kneel over the body of another character after that character has been shot (by someone else). Daryl doesn't realy die, in this movie, though he comes close.

You may be thinking of the scene where he hides under the rear seat of a car to escape the lab. He and the doctor drive into a wooded area from there. Once they are away from the lab, he opens the seat and climbs out.
sharemy memory of the movie is very fuzzy, so it could be from another movie all together. thanks for help though.
