I'm guessing the lab, the white dome-room(s) where Daryl was examined, were done at Pinewood.

I'm also guessing that the opening scenes in the mountains were shot in Alpes-Maritimes, France.

Seems odd that they would shoot in England. Guess that's why the budget was 16 million.

The movie was co-produced by World Film Services, which is a British company, with headquarters in London.
Note that the locations were southeast coast US, southeast G.B., and Maritime France. There was no travel to the west coast,
So, opening scenics in Maritime France, interiors at Pinewood, exteriors in the US southeast. That was probably economical.
