I watched this film when it originally aired on ABC-TV February 4, 1985. It was one, then, of only a few films that delt with the issue of "coming out" about homosexuality, the other being the equally excellent "An Early Frost," which starred Aidan Quinn, Gena Rowlands, Ben Gazzara, and the late Sylvia Sidney.
But "Frost" is more focused on the issue of a young man's having contracted AIDS, while "Consenting Adult" is more generally about a man's discovering and "coming out" regarding his own homosexuality.
I also found "Consenting Adult" in four zip files on a file-sharing website, which is also the source for many other great film and television show files.
I am reluctant to give the website address of the file-sharing site here, for fear the copyright police will put an end to a good thing. But industrious folks will find this site if they perform a proper search engine search.
And if, for some reason, those files don't display well after the download/conversion process, it's nice to know this film is on You Tube, for which there are also reliable downloading/conversion programs.
As this film is no longer officially in-release and available in VHS or DVD formats, from a professional production company, there should be no issues with folks obtaining this title by whatever means necessary.
