On the Set

We were asked to allow our 3 month old son to be the newborn baby in this nice film. He was 3 months old and Marlo Thomas was graceful and loving with him. She came to our dressing room ahead of the scenes he was in and got comfortable with us and him. Very nice memories!

I posted a couple of pictures I took of Marlo and our son on the set of Consenting Adults here:

I know I got this on tape at the time. I hope I can find it and make a DVD.

Thanks for sharing the photos. Ms. Thomas has a notable reputation for being rude and condescending both on the set and to those she encounters when out in public. I'm a big fan of her work, so this has always disturbed me. I'm well aware that acting is acting but one would hope there is some reconciliation between the persona and the person.

I'm pleased to hear she does have a warm, caring side.

Thanks so much for that interesting story and those cool photos!

My brother met Marlo once too and she was incredibly nice and posed for a great photo with him. He met her around 1999 or 2000 and the photo was framed on his wall for years.

Lovely picture. Would love this movie to come out either on DVD or Netflix or something. I only got to see it once, and had to keep changing the channel whenever a family member walked into the room, so I have yet to see the whole thing in it's entirety.

Interesting comment about Marlo from the other poster. I have only heard very nice things about her. Maybe she was just having a bad day. We all have them.

Marlo Thomas was incredible, vibrant actress during the coarse of her television career, incredibly talented, possessed a quality rarely seen in tv actresses today, and co-starred with another brilliant actor, Martin Sheen, not often seen today, what a great cast for this low-budget TV movie, it's a pity it was never released on dvd.
