Great Movie

Best scene in the movie is when after Norris chases the kidnapper into the river and the kidnapper is run over by the boat. The scene when he is dripping wet and he goes over to Diana Luna and confirms to her that her mother was killed. The great facial expressions by Molly Hagen and the reaction of Eddie Kuzak by putting his arm around her to comfort her made this much more than just your run-of-the-mill cop movie.

Norris and Davis would have been smart to continue this in sequels

Chuck Norris appeared in some stinkers: Silent Rage, Top Dog, Missing in Action III. Code of Silence is one of Chuck's best. There's a scene where Diane Luna's family are butchered by Colombian gangsters. The scene is so gritty, violent, and unglamorous! Kind of like real world violence. Movies like Mr. and Mrs. Smith(2005) had carefree, glamourous depictions of violence.

Someone on this forum claims that COS borrows "some pages" from Serpico(a movie about a good cop battling bad cops). I guess that's true.

I like that car chase scene where that car with bad guys explodes on a bridge! It looked real to me! No FX shots!

I agree. "Code of Silence" is an excellent film which contains some of Chuck Norris' best acting moments. That scene you mention between him and Molly Hagan was indeed quite poignant.

I saw it on Blu-ray recently. The previous time i watched was on DVD many years ago. Not the best Chuck Norris film, but something different than his standard martial arts films.

This has less action than his other films, but it has more gunplay and less fight scenes. I loved the Synthesizer music by David Michael Frank in this film.

Got the blue ray also for Xmas. I'm in the processes of collecting most of Chuck's movies and well on my way. I'd never seen this movie before which is weird because I've seen pretty much all his movies from the 70's to the early 90's. This was a pretty good movie and enjoyed it.
