Ive finally bought it from HMV and is quite good, It has a good cast and storyline but its picture and sound quality isnt as good as its meant to be, It should either be digitally enhanced or there should either be a
re make/release. Anyway i still enjoy it.

More of the city needs to be shown, not just compounds, alleys and flood control channels.
This film had an interesting plot and a surprisingly good cast. But yet, the film bored me more than anything else. And the action scenes were awful. The script was pretty lame too; basically, the script failed to tap into the storyline's potential.
But I agree, although I generally frown upon Hollywood remakes, I actually think this is one of the very few movies out there that deserves to be remade. With a bigger budget and a better script, this film could be very good.
Yes, I remember watching this movie as a kid and the plot was definitely something with potential. Though one thing that I wondered was why did it seem that the city was always dark, I mean, basically there were no "daytime" scenes inside the city except during the end.
I would actually look forward to a remake on this movie, they might actually do it better if good thought is put into it.
The story to this is moronic. A remake would just be generic hollywood trash
shareSomething about a city about 10-ish years after a plague took out most of the adult population in the world. Kid hears about a gang called "the Clippers", goes into city to join them, ends up accidentally sparking a confrontation between two gangs. Basically it all turns out to be a larger scheme by "Sunya Corporation", some big company/government contractor (or simply a new "government"?) that wants to take the city's control and use the gang members as compulsory workforce.
Ok, it sounds cheesy, but it isn't really bad.
