Admit it...You LOVE this movie!

Am I only the only one out there who completely LOVES this movie!?! You compare it to that waste of time, "Independence Day" and it comes off as a Best Picture nominee. I know you're out there - admit it!

a classic which will stand the test of the millenia to come.

Admission.

I became and remained a fan of "USA Up all Night" because of this movie. I was ... maybe 13 the first time I saw it.

For one glance at Cynthia Thompson's rack, I could cheerfully put up with four hours of Gilbert Gottfried's quacking voice.

If you ask me, movies like this one are indeed what makes America great... USA needs to take a hint, stop showing Law and Order reruns or whatever it is they do and BRING BACK THE B FLICKS.

(As cool as Law and Order is, come on. It just doesn't match up with Cro-Magnon bazoings).

I saw this movie along time ago and loved it. I was so happy to find it at Fry's Electronics on dvd. I still think it is great and yes, I admit it, I LOVE IT!

reply

I don't need to admit it. I've been a fan of this movie for a very long time. I know how to talk movie snob and can play critic as well as anyone, but c'mon! What's the purpose of putting down this movie if you can't figure out what you're getting into just by looking at the title or poster?

This movie is on the sunny side of the street, intended to give you a warm feeling. If you're not wanting a warm feeling, don't watch this movie, eh?

reply

I totally agree with You . It´s ought to be a nonsense comedy , and it´s a great one . I just can´t figure out , why imdb has chosen the stupid users review of that Lt. Coffey ?? How can one dare to compare Cavegirl with the Terminator ???

My mother bought me this from the charity shop the other day. I was excited because I thought it was going to be a DVD of the sexy British 'kids' TV show "Cavegirl". I was quite disapointed when I saw the cover. "Aargh! Another crappy B-Movie. Thanks a lot, Mum."

I decided to put it on anyway, and from the monent it started, I knew I had been wrong, I knew I was in for a treat.

Girls running around topless

Bad acting

Cheesey repetitive dialogue

Cavemen in bad wigs

Cavegirls with tan lines

Fat girls with big nipples

"Where is your love? Show me your *beep* love!"

THE HOTTEST WOMAN EVER!

Man, this movie is awesome! I can't wait to show it to my mates, even if it's just for Cynthia Thompson. I'm now going to find every film she's ever been in, and masturbate furiously to her image.

My first experience of watching this movie was on USA UP ALL NIGHT on The USA Network back in the day. They showed B movies, cult classics, horror movies, and a few mainstream movies.

When The USA Network was bought out by NBC they changed the format of the programming and removing a great weekend show that lasted for 4 hours. They had a female host named Caroline Schlitt from the start of USA UP ALL NIGHT from 1986 until like 1990 I believe.

She left the show because she no longer wanted to be part of Hollywood anymore and left to settle down and get married. Then Rhonda Shear stepped in to replace her and stayed on the show until it ended due to USA Network wanting to show Law And Order crap and any other garbage you can think of removing the Cult classic B movies that we all loved.

WOW I had a huge crush on Cynthia Thompson when she was in this movie! I found this at a local video store and rented it. I liked it better unedited than the TV version of it. WOW Cynthia had a great body on her! I wish that USA UP ALL NIGHT was still on showing movies like this again.

Hi Rob. Good to see you over here on the board of my favorite UAN movie.

Yeah, I hate Law and Order, such phony garbage. What is with people and crime shows? To hell with that junk, I say bring back late night b-movie hosts!

Cynthia Thompson was funny too! I saw this movie shortly after we saw "Quest For Fire" in junior high, Zzzzzz. I thought about how funny it would have been if my teacher mistakenly popped "Cavegirl" into the VCR instead of Quest For Fire! I think the class would have found Cavegirl a much more entertaining stone age movie, especially with Thompson in it, lol!

I do support bringing these enjoyable b-movies back to late night TV!

Hi lunarshape31,

Oh this is one of your favorite movies then that was shown on USA UP ALL NIGHT?

I cannot stand the Law And Order, and all of the programming that NBC is puttin onto USA Network. I have a theory as to why toward the end of 1998 why tey dropped USA UP ALL NIGHT from the programming and totally changed what they were showing on USA Netwrk.

My theory is that I happen to think that USA Network or the people who owned th network at the time was setting up for NBC to take over the network and put their programming on there.

The problem is that todays society likes that kind of garbage along with reality shows as well. I totally agree about getting rid of that crap as well! I man if they want to put it on during the day and then late at night when the kids are in bed asleep why not put what we all love?

I would do that you know if I was the executiv programmer for USA Network. The late nght B movies were great to watch and very entertaining as well! I love movies like that!

We need people who know what B movies are all about and both Rhonda Shear and Gilber Gottfried knew what B movies were all about! Yes Cynthia Thompson was funny and very beautiful too!

It is a shame that no one knows what happened to her. She just vanished from acting and has not been heard of since then or made any other appearances in movies or TV either.

Yeah I bet you wished they would have shown this instead of the movie you intructor showed when you were in junior high. Yeah I think your class would have enjoyed that a lot better than Quest For Fire. Yeah Thompson was hot in that movie!

I back you up in your belief and would love to see B movies come back to late nights on TV! That would make me very happy about that!

I think this film is great, but I was disapointed with the audio track on the DVD - sound in mono! But anyway I liked the film alot. The music and directing was great. The camera only moves with the characters in a couple scenes, the rest are just still shots, but it worked well.

I own the DVD copy of it and I loved this movie when I first saw it on USA UP ALL NIGHT! It is a shame that Cindy Ann Thompson did not continue on with the film industry because she was hot!

Yes I have to agree with you that the music and the directing of this film was great! Yes the camera only movies with the characters in a couple of scenes, yes the rest was still shots, but like you said it worked very well.

I admit it! I loved watching Cavegirl on late night television in the 80's. Why? Because it was rather funny and, get ready, I think it's romantic!
Didn't anyone else feel good about the ending? I also liked the song played during the credits (used to think it was Blondie).

The funniest part is when he tries to spread the cavegirl's legs apart. lol!

I guess the third element I liked was the fieldtrip scenario. I used to visit mines on some of my own field trips, so that part is nostalgic.

Overall, it's a fun and memorable movie.

I just saw this film on DVD and thought it was a lot of amiably silly fun. Cynthia Thompson was absolutely adorable in the lead role.

You sure are not alone ;) I totally agree , it was a great amusing movie back then in 1985 . And I feel so sorry for that moron Lt.Coffey182 , who gave just one star , compared it with crap from today and analyzed it like a retarded teenager . Poor guy ! Roebock was awesome and the gags were pretty funny at all . Sure it´s not that great , when You are over 40 and see it just nowadays ;)
