why the hell did the stupid pigeon kept pecking at the guy's foot?

did it have a problem or something?

n he could have slowly lifted up his leg from the ledge to kick or shove the pigeon off, instead of having to enduring the painful pecks till his ankle bled.

anyway how did the film director manage to make the pigeon peck at his socks? was there some bird feed on his sock or something?

No idea. In the short story it's just explained that pigeons are very territorial in new york. They'll hardly give up their space in the park and places. The guy says the pigeon had a look in its eyes like 'he's in my territory now'. It's supposed to sense he's helpless up there the same way it would be on the ground. Of course, it adds quite a bit of tension too.

I almost died laughing at that pigeon that was pecking his ankle...

Lmao!

Pigeons are territorial, especially if you get near their nests.

Payback.

No, no - Pillage first, then burn! Stupid Vikings...

The scene basically took everything that could go wrong walking on the side of a building and made it happen.

'How were you helping that poor confused bisexual woman by calling her an equal opportunity slut?'

"Try this, you flying sh!thouse!!" SQUAWK!!!

I'm happiest...in the saddle.

Things like this always happen to bad guys.

reply

C'mon! That was the ankle of Robert Hays, star of "Airplane!" The pigeon was starstruck, and who could blame him?

reply

I dont know why it kept doing that, but i found it funny as hell! I couldnt stop laughing for some reason lol

Now Sid,don't you blame the movies, movies don't create psychos, movies make psychos more creative!

reply

Just goes to show. Pigeons are dicks.

reply

The reason it was pecking at him is because he was probably near the nest. I'm quite sure this is the reason from the book. Not that you need a reason for a bird to peck at your feet, ducks often do that too.

As for the "why couldn't he just kick it away"... well he tried but he was nearly falling so he endured the pain and moved on. The villain wasn't that smart, reason why he ended up splashed on the pavement.

reply

It was a bird. It didn't exactly need a well thought out reason other than "heeeey I poop there" peck peck peck

reply

I think the pigeon was on the payroll of the main bad guy. If I remember he came back at that guy because the check bounced.
