THE BEST MOVIE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!!!!

I loved this movie it was so cute! I love carebears so much it made me so happy when they made a movie about them! My favorite bear is love-a-lot bear! Which bear is you favorite? I'd love to hear! J.K. None of that is true. The movie was boring with a capital B!

I loved this movie too!

I liked Stoner Bear, he always seemed blissfully unaware of what was going on. Oh, wait a minute, his name is Bedtime Bear. Well, his eyes are always glazed over and he looks like he's about to pass out, so hopefully you can understand my confusion.

reply

Oh yeah, I like Stoner Bear, too. But, seriously, I'm a big fan of both Good Luck Bear and Wish Bear.

I thought it was an okay movie for a kids' movie. Jackie Bourroughs was a good choice for the evil book. I also liked the ending, which in a way was a twist. If I'm wrong say so, but isn't the narrator and his wife, in the end, really Nicholas and Kim...though 40 yrs post the magic show & their adventure with the Care Bears? I think so, which makes it cool, and it's especially cool that they took in all those kids...unless they were their grandchildren? (Either way it's cool if Nick & Kim ended up together.)

No, if my memory serves correctly it was an orphanage.

I loved this movie, I remember watching it when I was little! I love Bedtime Bear, he's my favorite...especially since we both share a fondness for sleeping...ALOT!!! I loved the series, too, I used to watch it when I was very young.

It's not the quantity in life that counts, but the quality that we put into it.

I still love this movie. I always will. My favorite bears are Love a Lot and Tenderheart. ^^

I loved it too. Believe it or not, I think this film kind of triggered my interest in horror films....That book demon was freakin' terrifying to watch as a kid! it definatley left an impression on me when the kiddie squashed its face flat between the pages of the book at the end....FREAKY! anyone else agree?

Yeah, this movie scared me when I was little. Until 10 years later when I saw it again, the only part I remembered about it was that FREAKY face in the book that possessed some kid at a carnival. Watching it when I was older really brought back some memories of my childhood.

LOVED this movie :) I think my parents hired it for me so many times from the video shop that they could've bought a heap of copies for me!

My fave will always be Cheer Bear - I was OBSESSED with rainbows :)

At this point Care Bears is also for adults and not only children. What other cartoon today focuses on good overcoming evil in a cartoon. Often it seems that evil is portrayed as good in some cartoons today and contributes to the degeneration and desensitization of America. So three cheers for the Care Bears' ability to bring friendship and wholesome values to DVD where the rest of the cynical cartoon views fail to compare. I also agree with the past posters that animation has been done with more care than today's minimalist style. The 1980's cartoons rule! Totally awesome, dude to infinity!

I remember this:

I once watched it while it played on The Disney Channel back in the 90's and I think we recored it two, but maybe it got recored over by mary poppins.

But all I can remember of this movie is

. The begining in which the mom and the dad are tucking in the kids and start telling them of this one care bear adventure.
. at the begining in which the opening credits are showing and two care bears are following these two kids. Then after the song's over, they get down and start talking about something, and the kids are being real jerks and saying, "Who Cares?" etc.
. Then they get ot this island where all of them are being chased by something and I think the human girl looks up and this lion is like, "It's Okay. Give me your hand."
. Then near the end, I remember this song being played and he gets a heart symbol.
. Then right before the credits roll we find out it's all a story, and the kids are alsleep or they start asking how the parents know it. The parents replied and I think turn out the lights. But then the camrea pans over to the window and we see two care bears looking the room and give a little giggle.

that's all, I guess I'm going to have to buy it.
I want a Lawyer! I want a Doctor! I want a cheese sandwish!

Loved the Care Bears when I was little. I just found my old copy of this on tape recently and decided to watch it. I probably haven't seen it in around 15 years. Still has a few connections to real life. I found Nicholas to be a lot like I was a few years back and that spooky book like an ex of mine. And that book (and Nicholas as well) scared the crap out of me when I was little.
My favorite bear was always Cheer Bear (the pink bear with the rainbow on her tummy), though I also have a soft spot in my heart for Grumpy Bear. And I like Swift Heart Rabbit, Cozy Heart Penguin, and Bright Heart Raccoon.

I watched this movie yesterday and I love it so much! I love the theme song. Goodness, watching it just makes me happy. I agree, the evil spirit and Nicholas scared me when I was little too. I love all the bears. Grumpy is especially cute though, when he goes off at the end all grumpy-like and dances his own little dance.

Everyone should watch this movie sometime in their life.

I grew up with three sisters, so I went to see all the My Little Pony and Care Bears movies at the cinema, and despite being more of a Transformer fan, I have fond memories of the Care Bears, which I'm reminded of now that my girlfriend's little boy is watching her old VHS tapes!

I love the Evil Spirit (the fact that she has no name makes her more evil!!), her animation style goes from friendly and flashy-looking to all angular and green as she reveals her true nature... And *SPOILER ALERT* we all know that Nicholas grows into Mr Cherrywood, but look at Mrs. Cherrywood: it's not explicitly stated, but look at her fringe (or 'bangs' if you're US), isn't she Kim? The girl in the movie?

Now I need to find the bears' Adventure in Wonderland, cos I remember that being the best one (didn't it have Tone Loc as a rapping Cheshire Cat?)

God bless cartoons from a world that was, at least on the surface, simpler and less jaded than the one we live in today. Maybe if we would all 'Care-A-Lot' then things might be better in future!
