Seriously, it's called "Bubblegum Crisis" (or, if you want to get really nitpicky, "Bubble Gum Crisis"). It is NOT called "Baburugamu kuraishisu". Those aren't even real words. They're Japanese mangling of English. Someone please fix it.
It's not "Japanese mangling of English," it's a direct transliteration of the show's Japanese title, which, in turn, is the best possible transliteration of "Bubblegum Crisis" from English to Japanese. IMDB consistently does this for every movie and tv show that's foreign in origin.
So.. what you're saying is: It was the Japanese transliteration of "Bubblegum Crisis". Even though in Japan.. the title in the opening credits for every episode is spelled in English as "Bubblegum Crisis".
