Looks like the DVD is edited.

I just watched the DVD. Then I followed a link to YouTube and saw the scene where Jess confronts his father about Leslie being dead. They cut that scene way short! They went right from "It's all my fault," to "Come on. We talk back home." What the hell, man? Why would they do that?

By the way, this is the Alumination version. Perhaps the previous version was intact.
