If this is only 60 minutes.....sploiler at the very end

SPOILER in my last sentence

I absolutle adore and love the new 2007 remake with Josh, and AnnaSophia. I not only fell for the characters, but for Josh and AnnaSophia playing them.

But I have never seen this yet.

I have only seen the remake for the 1st time 2 weeks ago on STARZ Kids.

If this is only 60 minutes, how will that be able to fill everything that happened in the remake?

The remake is like an hour and a half.

This is only an hour.

Obviously if this is just an hour, alot is left out in this movie that is in the remake.

I bet there is alot of important parts missing in this film too because it's so short.

How can this movie be a movie if it leaves out of so muuch of what happens in the re-make??

It seems like alot would be left out of this 1985 original BTT that is in the re-make.

BTW,

I know this movie is supposed to be crap, but I am going to get it on DVD anyway to see it in full.

But the re-make is to die for.(I hate that choice of words because of what happens to Leslie)

I just watched it does differ from the 2007 movie. Though you can compare them you also have to remember that this was done in 1985 and one is done in 2007. Also the 1985 was made as a tv movie where as the 2007 version was made to be a theatrical release.

Jess has only 3 sisters
Jess and Leslie use a fallen log to get across to Terabitha
Leslie’s dad gives him Prince Terrain
Leslie looks more boyish which is the way it was in the book. When Jess first sees her he cant decided if she is a boy or girl.
Ms. Edoms tells Jess about losing her brother when she was his age. So that took the place of his teacher talking about when her husband had died etc.
Dont see them pranking that girl with the love letter.
Jess makes a wreath and offers it to spirits/gods (that was in the book but not in the 2007 version)

So really there are things in both that are from the book and thinks from the books that was left out or they slightly changed.

The big difference in the remake is that they were actually able to bring Tereabitha to life because in the book you hear about it but you don’t see (it) its all in their imagination.

I think it should be pointed out that the 2007 version of the film isn't a re-make of this one; both of them were adapted from the book of the same name. The new movie isn't a re-make of this one more than any movie version of a Shakespeare play is a re-make of any other one.

I couldn't imagine cutting the story down to an hour, either, particularly since you need time to care about the characters.
