Lost Scene?!?

On my DVD in the filmography section there is a picture of Frankenstein showing Eva her reflection in the mirror that happens to be the door to his secret room. And on a Jennifer Beals website there are tons of this same picture! Obviously this a lost scene, why didn't they include this on the dvd? Has anyone with the dvd noticed this?

It's on my VHS copy. The scene ends with the door slowly being opened/slid aside, and his (Frankenstein's) arm is raised, right?

I have no idea!! The only scene I have seen with that door and Frankenstein is when he goes in to smoke opium and shows Eva that she is in fact his creation with his journals.

I picked up the accompanying novel to the movie and it had plenty of pics in it of scenes clearly edited from the movie - mostly scenes between Frankenstein and Eva. There were scenes of him schooling her (even teaching her the piano), Eva going into town in search of her identity, definitely indicating the scenes between the lead characters were compromised (perhaps running time) for more screen time between the supporting characters. Was hoping they would have included the deleted scenes on the dvd, but they did not.
