Where do you think the characters in The Breakfast Club are now?

The teenagers would be in their 50’s now, the janitor would be an old man, and the principal would probably be dead. What are your hypotheses on what happened in everyone’s lives after the credits rolled?

Or a whore

They would all be in their 50s now ... doesn’t that detail just make you want to cry?

The actor who played the principal is still alive right?

Died in 2006 :(

Interesting thing to speculate about...

Andrew would be a high school wrestling coach and fifty lbs. overweight (I'm basing that on the wrestling coach from my old high school). Oddly enough, he becomes best buds with the guy whose buns he taped together, Larry. They even went into business and opened a bakery named, "The Best Buns in Town".

Clare would've "squeezed out a few puppies". To her dismay her daughters would've been unpopular geeks who disdained "social clubs". So now she's doing her best to influence her granddaughters into acting like entitled princesses.

Alison would've had a half dozen careers until she finally found herself and became a counselor for troubled teens.

Brian became a millionaire with his start up company on the internet. He created a line of software for school kids to teach them trigonometry. He originally tried to make lamps, but that didn't work (and neither did his lamps).

John Bender? What else? He's either a defense attorney or a member of Congress!

Ah, that sucks. He was a good 80’s asshole character actor.

Clare: Founded a charitable organization
Brian: High School Math Teacher
Alison: Writer or Artist in New York
Andrew: Manager of a sporting goods store; has a bunch of his kids and coaches their sports teams
Bender: Served some time in prison, now works as a youth counselor

Clare - Would have married exactly who she was expected to marry and squeezed out some puppies. Has probably divorced and remarried at least twice. Is an alcoholic and Valium addict.

Brian - As much as I would love to say he goes onto found something like Facebook, I think he was more average than that. He would have graduated college and gotten a job doing something ordinary but stable and respectable. He would be married to a woman who tolerates him rather than loves him and has a couple of kids.

Allison - Either living her dream or nightmare.

Andrew - After failing at sports as a career he settles down to become something like a sports coach or used car dealer. He makes a good living but is unhappy with his life. Has lots of kids from his failed marriages, contemplates suicide regularly.

Bender - After spending most of his 20's lost, Bender finally managed to sit down when nearing 30 and started to write about his life. He reflects on his time in detention at high school and writes a teen novel which becomes a success and later is turned into an iconic movie. He goes onto become one of Hollywood's most successful screen writers.

Clare: Someone's trophy wife who cheats on her husband. Has daughter who is a "geek"
Brian: Went to prison for running a pyramid scheme and cheating elderly widows out of their money
Alison: A middle school teacher encouraging kids to be themselves
Andrew: An injury derailed his sports career, came out as gay and runs a nightclub. Coaches children's teams on the side.
Bender: Found out he has a "voice" and played in a band, ending up ODing just before band made it big

The Jock -- Currently hosting NBC Nightly News, spewing propaganda without blushing.

The Princess -- Head of the local school board. Calls republicans fascists for not wanting porn in the kindergarten library.

Bender -- Started an online auto parts store in the mid-90s and is now a billionaire.

The Nerd -- Runs the comments section on Bender's website to make sure nobody types any mean stuff.

The Basketcase -- Teaches postmodern lit at community college and refuses to include any DWMs on her syllabus.

This is EXACTLY who these people became...
