Was right after Bender shows them what its like at his house and Andy says its bullsh!t, Bender gets pissed, calls them dildos and starts knocking sh!t over and goes off alone and sits by himself extremely pissed at them. But then directly after that we see Bender leading them out of the library and they're all getting along.

Was always curious how Bender suddenly went from being pissed and sitting alone to being back to normal and leading them all to his locker. I mean it would be one thing if it was a couple scenes later, but its pretty much directly after Bender's outburst.

Thats what i love about these high school girls, i get older they stay the same age.

I do not think Bender is pissed at the other kids. Nobody would have believed his story, especially in the 80s. However, once he showed the scar from the cigar burn the kids did believe him. He runs off more because he is pissed off at his situation rather than the fact that the kids did not initially believe him.

Bender seems like the type that doesn't hold grudges and gets over things easily. He's seen and experienced so much in his few years, he's learned to adapt. After discussing his home life he momentarily breaks down and needs a little space - but it isn't in Bender's nature to dwell on things. I think it's perfectly normal to see him socializing with the group again, even minutes later, as if nothing happened.

Whiles its the very next scene, you dont really know how much time has passed. Could have an hour later and he had already gotten over it.

MisterBabadook I wrote this for you:

Int. - Library
Bender sits alone at the top of the stairs for ten minutes. The rest sit at their desks quietly, still taking in Bender's reveal of abuse. Bender looks at the back of all their heads.

Suddenly Bender stands up and hurries down the stairs and out towards the front exit.

CLAIRE
Where are you going?

BENDER
To my locker.

CLAIRE
Why?

BENDER
I left something in there. Besides, I need to stretch my legs. Anyone care to join me?

Andrew and Claire look at each other and shrug. They both get up. Brian's incredulous.

BRIAN
Um, guys, I don't think we're supposed to...

Alison gets up and walks slowly to the front.

Bender looks at Brian. He looks down, shakes his head. Trying to convince himself to stay put, but he gets up and follows.
