Allison looked better before the style change

I think the rougher look suited her better.

Yes she did!!

Agreed. She looked ridiculous in that white dress (where the hell did it come from anyway??)

God giveth and the DMV taketh away!

reply

Ridiculous? Were you even around in the 80's kid? Do you realize that's how girls looked/dressed in 1984? And she obviously got it the HELL from Claire. You're not too bright, are you?

reply

I was around in the '80s, cupcake. The look didn't suit her at all. It's my opinion. If you don't like it, you can lick my sweaty taint 

You got the wrong guy, mang. I don't come off no banana boat.

I think she had that little lace blouse on her. at least in her bag. she mentioned how she carried a lot of stuff with her.

Come on guys! Allison looked MUCH better cleaned up!

First time I saw this film, not sure if it was on HBO or I rented it, I remember all of us watching the film were like "wow" when she comes back all cleaned up. Not that she was "ugly" when she was a basket case, but Claire turned her into a swan.

reply

FACT!

It was the only part of the film that pissed me off.
They'd spent the whole time talking about not being ashamed of who they were and liking each other for being themselves and then she completely rids herself of her 'quirkiness'

I see both sides... how she wore herself in the beginning is how se felt.

later on, the philosophy Hughes wanted to show us was: change yourself to be liked/accepted/valued.

and that philosophy sucks but appears to be true. notice how they were practically rolling their eyes whenever she said anything/did anything... then when she is cleaned up Brian is foaming at the mouth as well as Andy.

I think she looks good either way. Besides the black was wore when she was depressed. The new clothes when she was happy.

Back in the 80's that look was considered nice and normal. It was also signified a change.

Yes, with my eyes from 2016, she was looking way better before the makeover. I think she was way hotter than Claire. And then Claire made her like herself. It ruined the ending imo.
