Thanks, It's only $16 US dollars including shipping! Now that's a good deal with all the extras on the DVD!
shareThe Bliss DVD has 2 disks, commentary, the directors cut. The directors cut is a good transfer, but not as beautifully restored as the Theatrical version on Disk 2. Both versions in the set are anamorphic. Overall a great deal and a must have for fans of the film! I'm glad I own it finally.
shareWhat do you prefer, the director's cut or the theatrical version? I think both have their strong points. The director's cut is a little more humorous.
shareI've just managed to track it down in New Zealand. Two mail-order companies have it, see: http://www.gumboot.co.nz/product.asp?p=1&i=12696 and http://www.moviestars.co.nz/DVDs/1475553.html. My copy is apparently winging it's way to me now.
I should point out that it's in PAL region 4 format but it's easy enough to get over the Region Coding.
"Bliss" is truly one of the great unappreciated classic films and deserves a European/American release asap on the back of Lawrences more recent successes.
