Clint Eastwood as Doc

As much as I like Eastwood, I don't think he was suited to play Doc. Chris Lloyd was just perfect in the role of crazy scientist.

Eastwood would've been too cool and masculine for the role.

No way. John Lithgow, who was also approached, would've made much more sense.

Clint Eastwood died in a terrible train wreck into a ravine that was later named for him one hundred years before this movie came out.

Just because it's random doesn't mean it's good or makes sense. Clint needs a big gun. I can't see Doc carrying a big gun even if it is from the future and shoots laser beams haha.

well, i agree that lithgow sure would suit better in the role then, by the way, remember clint eastwood was the name marty picked in the third back to the future instalment. there is only one cursing word in this movie and it is being reused, the other word for crap, that's a bit strange i thought. when marty first "crashes" into 1955 it looks like the wild west with that barn setting, the 1950s set looks so colourful and jolly compared to 1985, if you saw this for the first time, as he wakes up you might think it had all been a dream, he says himself "what a nightmare". i wonder how marty and emmet brown ever got to know each other and hang out, i don't think that's ever been explained in any of the three movies, the principal is not featured in the third movie but i used to think the sheriff in "back to the future 3" was the same actor who played the principal, i just noticed for the first time that marty has a brother, what an incredibly small part and i don't think he appears in the upcoming movies. funny it seems like "family guy" has spoofed like every scene in this movie. the scene where the family haven't heard of the president a bit of the dialogue might just have been identical to a bit in the twilight zone episode "the parallel".
