What Would a Modern Day Remake Look?

"Tell me, Future Boy, who's President of the United States in 2020?"

"Donald Trump"

"The loudmouth TV gameshow host? Then who's vice-president, Paris Hilton?"

Like the Flatliners remake

UTTER SHIT

CaptainObvious perfectly stated it (obviously...)

Like the Friday the 13th remake
Like the Poltergeist remake

The original Friday the 13th isn't that great either. It was a product of it's time, that I doubt would even have much of a legacy if not for nostalgia and the overabundance of sequels that followed.

If studios remade it (they can't, fortunately), then wouldn't Doc and Marty be going to the future 30 years from now and 30 years in the past?

When "BttF" came out in 1985, they used the year it was released in theaters. So by that logic and going by the year 2020, they would be traveling to 1990 and 2050.

It would be interesting to see a film about an alternate 2020, sorta like how it skewed into some tangent in "BttF II", but having the trilogy completely remade? Hell no. I'd put it on my list of movies to avoid watching.

Vineyard Vines hipster douche 2019 Marty McFly would go back in time to 1980’s Hill Valley. He would accidently invent (or inspire) the smart phone, Uber, Twitter, and Netflix. He plays Gucci Gang on stage at the school dance. The Delorean is a Tesla. Marty has to explain to Doc what a meme is. At least 5 reference to Donald Trump being president. Marty rejects his mother’s advances because he’s gay.

This is the best one.

Marty would be an Asian, transgender pansexual vegan being raised by two racially mixed Lesbians.
